NICOLE – FOUNDER
What’s not to love about being in the center of a thriving city? I’ve worked in Manchester for the best part of 20 years in management for premium urban retailers and I have loved every minute of it.The best and most exciting part is meeting people who each have their own story to tell, comfortable rocking their own style, it’s great to live in such a diverse and thriving community. Everyone is different and in the city anything goes.
Like most ” bloggers ” I discovered my love of weddings when I got married 10 years ago. I broke with tradition to create a more personal intimate experience by getting married in The Tithe Barn which shocked my family a little :
Father to Sister “What no church?”
Unleashing my creative side ( I got this from my mum who is a budding painter!) I forged ahead and went on to become a florist and qualified interior designer. Being self employed opened my eyes to the challenges of being a small start up within the wedding industry. It was from a small seed planted at a local networking group that Bridal Chic was born. We have so many talented independents on our doorstep I want this site to be the place where you the wedding couple come to find the supplier.
Creating inspirational images and lookbooks for your wedding or business I am going to show you how cool city weddings can be. As a growing brand I welcome you to come and join the ride

ANDY – CONTENT WRITER
Hi I’m Andy. My passions are writing, photography, music and football. For any online business, “content is king” and that’s what I love to do. I love to write. I’ve written newspaper articles and blogs for Bridal Chic in the City, Ella Moore and Dust It Off as well as running my own blog, so I have a lot of experience in this field. My European football blog has taken me all over Europe taking images, making films and writing articles. My obsession with European football is currently taking me on a quest to see every team that has ever played in a European final. My work as a music photographer has seen me shoot some big names in the music industry to which I feel very privileged. I look forward to writing some epic articles for Bridal Chic…
KENNY BROWN
Hi I’m Kenny Brown, photographer, tutor, husband and general lover of people, travel and really good food. As a photographer, I’m passionate about capturing ‘that’ moment. This love of creating amazing images has been honed over 30 years, yes I know, 30 years! During that time, I’ve assisted photographers in both Manchester and London, gained a BA (Hons) in Photography, won awards, had exhibitions in Manchester and London. I’ve photographed fashion, press, music, and a ton of weddings, and I’ve taught photography to people from the ages of 8 to 80. Lets just say, I’ve been a bit busy.
DAN HOUGH
Hey I’m Dan, I’m an alternative wedding photographer from Manchester, but cover the whole of the UK and beyond! I love couples who like to do things differently, creative couples adding their own details and personalities to their day. My aim is to capture the true beauty and honesty of your wedding. I have been shooting weddings for the last three years. I began by photographing stage dives at hardcore punk shows around the UK and still, now when I’m not photographing love to go and sing along to my favourite bands! The love of this style of music and the DIY ethos behind it is one of the reasons I love couples who add their own passions and personalities to weddings!
TESTIMONIALS
A refreshingly alternative wedding fayre, Bridal Chic in the City was great for me and my little business in reaching my ideal target market. Off the back of one of the fayres, hosted at the beautifully styled Bluu bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, I secured two city centre bookings, and a Cheshire based wedding. Nicole was an absolute pleasure to work with. Genuine and down to earth, though most importantly, she is keen to help small businesses build their business and their working relationships rather than thinking ‘what’s in it for me?’. Thankyou Nicole and Bridal Chic. I’m privileged to have met you!!
We jumped at the chance to work with Bridal Chic in the City as we felt that we had the same ethos of offering couples something different, beyond the norm and a million miles from the hotel wedding package! Working together with other wedding professionals to bring couples a wedding with a difference – at a venue with a difference! The Deaf Institute is simply fabulous!
Although a lot of couples opt for a country setting, we know that there are a lot of wonderful city centre venues that are available to hire for your special day. That is why we chose to exhibit with Nicole from Bridal City Chic – you can have any style of wedding, and any style of dress of course, right on the doorstep of your apartment, and have your pick of the best Manchester based wedding suppliers!
I am attending the fair as I am proud to be from manchester and it a great opportunity to get out there and meet Brides. It will also be brilliant to meet other bridal businesses working in the north west.
