Another day another photoshoot. What better way to start our #summerphotofest than at the Deaf Institute collaborating with some amazing new businesses. The theme was disco, Studio 54 style, and I couldn’t think of a better venue to shoot this. Its hip,its cool, a one of a kind venue perfect for any wedding reception. When Caroline from Words to Glow asked if I would like to come along and blog the day it had to be a “hell yeah”….

A massive shout out goes to Jenny for these amazing images. Get on her own blog, Love me love my wedding to find out more about this very personable photographer. With a wealth of experience in weddings this is one photographer you may want to take notes on…..

The Inspiration:

I think I have a girl crush in Bianca Jagger an absolute style icon, so on trend then, and even now #alwaysinfashion Add some sparkly DANCE lights from Words to Glow and the stage is set for disco fever baby….

Follow Bridal Chic In The City’s board studio 54 photoshoot on Pinterest.

The End Result:

Florence inspired, I think you’ll agree Tanya looks shamazing in her Isla Jean Bridal dresses. We went with 80’s style make up and Farrah Fawcett flicks and I think Lorna really executed the brief to its fullest with the emphasis on everything being over the top. The Belle and Bunty dress, simple and elegant, is a dress to fall in love with. Teamed with this bouquet beauty of baby’s breath, from Verdure Floral Design, this is floral excellence.

Check out the DANCE lights, it makes a great impact on the room especially propped up against the speakers.
This image could be easily recreated for your wedding album.

The dress Tanya is wearing below is Agatha by Eliza Jane Howell, styled with Charlotte Mills shoes,
the sequins and gold beading add a sense of understated glamour to the overall look…..beautiful.

Going on to venture outdoors its amazing how  you get some edgy images using the local buildings and surroundings.
I especially love these shots from the bar next door the The Deaf Institute really current and on trend they showcase our city’s finest architecture.
