What’s not to love about being in the center of a thriving city? I’ve worked in Manchester for the best part of 20 years in management for premium urban retailers and I have loved every minute of it.The best and most exciting part is meeting people who each have their own story to tell, comfortable rocking their own style, it’s great to live in such a diverse and thriving community. Everyone is different and in the city anything goes.

Like most ” bloggers ”  I discovered my love of weddings when I got married 10 years ago. I broke with tradition to create a more personal intimate experience by getting married in The Tithe Barn which shocked my family a little :

Father to Sister  “What no church?”

Unleashing my creative side ( I got this from my mum who is a budding artist!) I forged ahead and went on to become a florist and qualified interior designer. Being self employed opened my eyes to the challenges of being a small start up within the wedding industry. It was from a small seed planted at a local networking group that Bridal Chic was born. We have so many talented independents on our doorstep I want this site to be the place where you the wedding couple come to find the supplier.

Creating  inspirational images and lookbooks for your wedding or business we are going to show you how cool city weddings can be. As a growing brand we welcome you to come and join the ride

Hi I’m Rachael, the Scouse girl loving life in Manchester. I moved here 3 years ago now and it’s the best decision I have ever made. I love what Manchester has to offer there’s so much going on…. New bars, restaurant or gallery openings to the diverse mix of event venues the city has to offer, its a great time to be in Manchester.

I’ve been lucky enough to work in some beautiful venues as an events planner for the last few years since leaving Liverpool University. I love everything about weddings from the initial meeting with the couples to attending and watching the day unfold, I love it all.

Working with Bridal Chic in The City has given me the chance to get creative and learn more about the industry and meet some truly talented people. I love being part of this tight knit team, every day is different there’s so much to look forward to.

Where do I start, this is me hiding behind my coffee, in one of my favourite places to have breakfast, Moose Coffee in Manchester. When I get a chance to take myself away from editing, me and my husband come here and go breakfast crazy.  They do pulled pork waffles !!! Photography has always been a passion of mine. At a young age I learnt with my granddad, followed by college where I did sports photography and then by chance started photographing weddings and the rest is history. I prefer to shoot reportage, when everyone is unaware that I’m there. I love natural light and informal parties. You cant beat a heartfelt smile. I notice this the most when couples see each other for the first time on their wedding day, I love this.  I’ve been shooting weddings for over 10 years, seeing all your different ideas put into motion is what makes this job pretty flippin awesome. I travel all over photographing weddings abroad and the UK. I love a good trip, also cats, tattoos, cars and live music. So if you cant wait to tell me about your awesome day drop me a message and tell all. Message me on Facebook

A refreshingly alternative wedding fayre, Bridal Chic in the City was great for me and my little business in reaching my ideal target market. Off the back of one of the fayres, hosted at the beautifully styled Bluu bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, I secured two city centre bookings, and a Cheshire based wedding. Nicole was an absolute pleasure to work with. Genuine and down to earth, though most importantly, she is keen to help small businesses build their business and their working relationships rather than thinking ‘what’s in it for me?’. Thankyou Nicole and Bridal Chic. I’m privileged to have met you!!

We jumped at the chance to work with Bridal Chic in the City as we felt that we had the same ethos of offering couples something different, beyond the norm and a million miles from the hotel wedding package!  Working together with other wedding professionals to bring couples a wedding with a difference – at a venue with a difference!  The Deaf Institute is simply fabulous!
Although a lot of couples opt for a country setting, we know that there are a lot of wonderful city centre venues that are available to hire for your special day. That is why we chose to exhibit with Nicole from Bridal City Chic – you can have any style of wedding, and any style of dress of course, right on the doorstep of your apartment, and have your pick of the best Manchester based wedding suppliers!

I am attending the fair as I am proud to be from manchester and it a great opportunity to get out there and meet Brides. It will also be brilliant to meet other bridal businesses working in the north west.
