Autumn is now in full swing and we’re embracing all things Fall and Halloween-inspired. An Autumn wedding is a beautiful time of year to say ‘I Do’, and it can be fab inspiration for an October colour palette. Today we’re focusing on shades of orange and cranberry, with lots of subtle earthy tones thrown in. Read on to find out how you can incorporate these colours into your Autumn wedding…

Beautiful Blooms

It’s always best to speak to your wedding florist about which blooms are in season – this way you can be sure you get your perfect wedding bouquet. Opt for lots of wild greenery and foliage – it’ll fit in with the season beautifully. Warm berry flowers teamed with burn orange blooms make for a colour combination made in heaven. Finish your bouquet off with an orange or cranberry ribbon tied around the stems – so romantic! While we’re on the subject of floral arrangements, have you ever considered wearing an Autumn wedding flower crown? Many brides think flower crowns are just for Summer, but they’re a fab choice for an Autumn bride who wants to look bohemian.

Rustic Details

When I think of an Autumn wedding, I instantly think of rustic wooden details. Because of the earth tones that Autumn brings out, why not incorporate a certain rustic woody element into your wedding décor? Wooden banquet tables decorated with cranberry velvet table runners will look absolutely divine. Wooden tree slices work wonderfully as a base for table centrepieces, and they’re perfect for bringing the outside in!

Table Décor

Let’s talk about Autumn wedding table décor: this is where you can really get creative with your décor and styling. Golden leaves make great place name settings – simply draw the name of your guests on each leaf in golden calligraphy and put on each plate. Pair with golden cutlery and gilded goblets and you’ve got a Fall wedding table with a touch of glamour. -

Autumn Wedding Food and Drink

Autumn brings lots of opportunities for delicious wedding food and drink! Pumpkin-soup starters and cinnamon-inspired cocktails are definitely the way to go! A naked wedding cake will add to the rustic feel of your special day – why not use orange-flavoured icing and adorn with Autumnal blooms?

The Bridal Look

As mentioned earlier, a Fall flower crown will look utterly gorgeous on any bride-to-be! However, don’t forget that October is a chilly month, so be sure to keep warm! We love the thought of a chic fake fur bolero that you can wear in the evening. You’ll look ultra glam, and you can enjoy your big day without getting cold!

An Autumn wedding in October is always going to be gorgeous, and there are so many ways you can incorporate the season into your special day.
