2018 wedding make up trends.

Your wedding day should be the most special day of your life. Given that fact, your expectations must be through the roof. This is why we don’t leave anything to chance, we feel that every single detail of the ceremony is important and give it our undivided attention and dedication. However, regardless of how early we start planning and how committed we may be to the task, we’ll always feel that we lack time, money or something else to make it absolutely perfect. The amount of stress is extremely high; we review each decision and consult all sorts of people until we finally settle on one winner.

This happens for every single tiny thing. Given how the designs of tablecloths and plates matter, try and put the bride’s makeup in the hierarchy. Now imagine how challenging choosing makeup can be. Then multiply this number with one thousand. So, let’s see if we can help out just a little bit.

Classic

Classic is always an option and probably a safe one as well. Good foundation, a slightly pinkish lipstick, long lashes, mascara and a very neutral eye shadow or smoky eyes. This will likely look good on anyone, but it’s up to you to decide whether you want a look of subtle beauty or some extravaganza. If you decide to go with a classic look, make sure everything else is in that style. A mixture wouldn’t be a very good idea.

When it comes to this look, the most important thing is a clear face and in order to have that, you need a good quality concealer. It will ensure your face is free from imperfections and more beautiful than ever. One more notion would be to try and differentiate classics from clichés. It’s not easy, especially not with all the weddings that have been happening through the years, but try your best to succeed.

Colour pop

Most brides refrain from intense-coloured makeup, but there’s no reason to do it, really. Of course, try out the look you’d like to have beforehand and if you like it, go for it. Just because most people don’t do it, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t either. There have been beautiful brides wearing the most daring shades of red lipstick, as well as bold eye shadow.

At the same time, we feel that there’s nothing wrong with other colours either. It all depends on your choice of clothing, the ambience and your own attitude. Some women can pull out all sorts of makeup extremes, while others aren’t as good at it.

Gloss and glitter

If you want to spread joy from the very beginning of your wedding, feel free to crank up some glitter or gloss. Take advantage of that highlighter and make yourself glow. You can put it on your eyelids, cheeks, mouth, neck and even hair. Basically nothing is too much for a wedding. On this day, you’re free to use as much glitter as you want without being judged or inappropriate.

If you want to add some silliness, you can also try Twiggy lashes. You’ll have an authentic look and everyone’s eyes will be on you.

Matte and down liner

Speaking of choosing bold makeup for your wedding, we couldn’t help but suggest the newest Fashion Week trend for this spring – the upside down eyeliner.  It’s new and attractive and there are a million ways to wear it. Surely you’d be able to find something you like for our wedding look. If you do so, a cool matte lipstick works like a charm combined with a down liner. Go ahead and try it – and don’t be afraid to use unconventional colours, anything goes this year so there’s nothing to worry about.

Regardless of which look you choose, the important thing is to try it out beforehand and make sure you feel beautiful wearing it. Don’t try to be something you’re not. Your makeup can be out of the ordinary, of course, but don’t push it so far that nobody can actually recognize you. As long as you have a smile on your face, any makeup will look simply gorgeous.
