How to Have a Perfect Bride Smile on Your Big Day

Even though we all have several ‘big days’ in our lives, when you’re a bride-to-be it’s all about your wedding day. Everyone present will be there to celebrate one of the happiest days of your life, and you’ll be smiling and laughing for hours. It’s no surprise that you want your smile to be as perfect as your dress, shoes, and makeup. If you’re looking for ways to get that perfect smile, we offer you a few simple and useful tips.

Adopt good habits
First things first – you need to start adopting good habits months before your wedding day. This is the only way to actually make a difference because even if you find a toothpaste or a teeth whitening method you like, it won’t do any good if you start using it a week before your wedding. It’s of utmost importance that you brush your teeth at least twice a day, and if you can, perhaps even start brushing your teeth after every meal. This is especially important if you drink coffee, dark wine, or sodas because these drinks can stain your teeth. It would also be a good idea to give up smoking as cigarettes are bad for your teeth in addition to being terrible for your overall health.

Use interdental brushes
Your dentist always says that you should floss regularly, but it often slips your mind. Don’t worry, it happens to all of us. This is why people have started using interdental brushes instead – they are very easy to use and you are able to clean your teeth thoroughly. Picnix interdental brushes are designed in such way that you can make a full 360-degree turn and reach even the most difficult parts of your teeth. These brushes usually have non-slip handles so as to help you keep a hold of them even when your hands are wet, and the bristles are tapered and softer than those of regular brushes.

Try teeth whitening
Of course, your teeth should be healthy, but we often wish they could be just a tad bit whiter and brighter. There are many kinds of toothpaste on the market that promise they will make your teeth white as snow, but not all of them work. To get dreamy pearly whites like those of Hollywood celebrities, we suggest you visit your dentist and see if they can whiten your teeth with whitening gel or bleach. This will treat your teeth from the inside and make the inner tissue of your teeth whiter, which will result in a brighter smile. On the downside, this will make your teeth more sensitive, and the effects don’t last forever.

Go natural
Sometimes using bleach on your teeth is too harsh, especially if your teeth are just stained from your diet or cigarettes. Luckily, there are many simple ways to brighten your teeth at home using natural ingredients such as coconut oil or activated charcoal. All you have to do is dip your toothbrush in activated charcoal powder and brush your teeth with it. Even though it will make the inside of your mouth dark for a while, all you have to do is brush your teeth with toothpaste as you normally would afterward.

Straighten your teeth
If your main concern is that your teeth aren’t straight, you shouldn’t despair because there are many different options for teeth straightening today. Years ago you would have to settle for steel braces, but today you can pick a method that suits you best. There are so-called ‘hidden’ or lingual braces that are placed on the inside of your teeth so that they’re hidden from the view. There are also braces made from ceramics that are subtle and difficult to see, but you can also pick crystal brackets that are virtually invisible.

With your big day approaching, you’ll probably be nervous and want everything to be perfect, your smile included. Luckily, there are many things you can try to improve your smile and the health of your teeth, which will result in confidence on your part. Still, whatever you choose to do, it’s important to visit a specialist first and discuss your options, because they will probably have a good advice to give you.
