Another week another shoot with Bridal Chic’s resident photographer Dan Hough. This year I plan to show you some styled shoots in and around Manchester to give you some top tips and some inspiration.

City Bride = City Style

Lets push the boundaries. We have so much culture on our doorstep lets use it to highlight where we live, our loves, our passions….
I particularly loved this shoot at Hope Mill Theatre based in Ancoats. I kid you not, the backdrop to this splendid wedding venue has got people talking and buzzing about the new kid on the block. It’s awesome, one of the many Manchester gems waiting to be found and polished into something magnificent everytime a new bride walks past the threshold.

The theme was Industrial Glam, and as ever Dan put his own twist on this, in his words” his best styled shoot to date” and I would agree, it’s up there for what I’m calling, “1920’s wedding chic with a 2016 twist”.

Discovering some new vendors and wedding ideas from Hope Mill’s launch night, could it be that the light up letter has found its rival in Tat Lights (as seen on the Rock n Roll Bride Blog)???
See for yourself, this personalised “Together Forever” light took my giddy levels up a notch, discovering that Papi, the designer of these wonderful pieces, had up sticks from the big smoke to come to the uber cool city of Manchester. I think it’s really pretty awesome that.

The Dress was designed by Eliza Jane Howell – Carole, and fitted our brief perfectly. Adorned with the most beautiful floral bonanza of lush red blooms and greenery, floral artist Lisa, from Paragon Floral Design, made up the most beautiful wedding bouquet. You much check out their work, seriously. We wanted to show our model could rock the 1920’s look with a sprinkling of “Sasha Fierce”…… introducing Coryn, our beautiful real woman model, rocking those natural curves, representing……  #pow

The Hair was styled by Becky Betty (the stylist is as cool as the name) with little to go on, just my vision and a Tyra Banks whats app picture, who knew it was a wig in the picture…lol, Becky totally brought the look to life. Annelise from Satyrion provided the most perfect headpiece and applied one slick make up application. Don’t be afraid to go dark on the eyes if it fits the theme it will look perfect. Its not always about the natural look .

My groom was a pal and creative drawer, Jonny Blay. Jonny has designed and created my “Bridal Superhero Chick” for my zines given out at previous fayres. He’s a Manc lad through and through perfect for this shoot. The excitement started from the get go when the Bentley arrived, to when he spotted the piano, once this self taught musician started to play on the piano ( I could see he was itching to do this….lol ) it was a delightful shocker for everyone and utltimatly super cool………#supertalented

The table top styling came from Kandy Party and Event Palnners and really made the room come to life. I think they perfectly captured the venue style, enhancing what is already a stylist’s dream. With candles and blooms in medicine glass vases against the bare brick and paint peeled backdrop, this was truly stunning. Andy and Ian are really personable and styling is definitely their thang  (cue head flick required)…..
