We came, we viewed, we shot the most amazing photoshoot. I thought the Deaf Institute was good for a newbie photoshoot director like me but this seemed to run a little bit slicker ( the more I do the more experience I will have the better it will be I guess ). Armed with a groom aswell (they’re like gold dust when you want one!!!) we had our team at the ready….

The BCITC team included:

Jessica Conway – MUA ( www.fb.com/jessicaconwaymake-up )
Katie Dunn – Hair (@katiedunn0106)
Dan Hough – Photographer –
Rachel Wilson – Silversmith and jewellery designer
( www.mariejewellery.co.uk)
Jenny Keane – ( www.opheliamay.com )
Charlotte Mills –
Models – Chelsea and Tom
Me, Nicole – Bridal Chic Chief (www.fb.com/bridalchicinthecity )
Venue : www.barca-manchester.co.uk

Dan is great to shoot with he totally gets what Bridal Chic is all about and this shows in all the images that have been produced. I think we are becoming a bit of a tag team in the making.
Here are just a few of my favourite images from the shoot…..

The Brief.

Myself and Chelsea decided we wanted to see if we could find suitable wedding style dresses on Manchester high st. A style that would represent a city bride.
Could you pick up a dress from Zara and would anyone really know if it was high st? That was the challenge and I think we passed. The two dresses we picked up were from Zara (the off the shoulder dress for £25 ) the lace two piece was from H&M ( again £25) Bargain…so It can be done you can be a bride on a budget and look a million dollars. You could spend a bit more on shoes and accessories and be comfortable in knowing you havent spent am arm and a leg. I will be doing a high st issue with stylist and blogger Elle Grocott from www.eyesbiggerthanourwages.wordpress.com
Look out for that 😉

Make up.
We knew we wanted a hair up to the side do with a strong hairpiece and I felt Jenny’s brand Ophelia May fitted this look as it made the look a bit more bridal. Her pieces are delicate and unique and come in a range of clips and comb options. Our lovely hairstylist Katie managed to put together a hairstyle that was exactly what I envisaged and I think Chelsea looked amazing. Jessica was our fanastic make up artist who literally saved the day and came to my rescue. I wanted Chlesea to have red lips and a natural eyes. I felt the dresses needed a pop of colour and for this shoot the colour needed to be on the face. Here is Jessica in action and a picture of the finished shot.

To complete the outfit look we used accessories from Marie Jewellery. Rachel the owner of this brand handmakes all the pieces and is a trained silversmith. She can also make wedding rings and will be showcasing at our Barca fayre on July 13th.

Lastly our footwear was made available from Charlotte Mills Bridal. A bespoke shoe designer her theme incorporates a heart and a silver sixpence in the shoe. A lovely theme I think you’ll agree

So the finished shot this is it…….

It totally encapsulates what the brand is about. Thanks to the whole team, all local independent businesses I hasten to add, to a really productive day with a fantastic result.
