Were really excited to introduce you to Emma and Danny who got married at the stunning Ashfield House. A luxury country house overlooking the Douglas valley and gardens. I first came across Emma on instagram after following her for a while I was intrigued by story, which led to me contacting her to see if she would like to share her wedding story with me. Thankfully Emma wanted to be involved and I am now able to show you the first real wedding of 2016 for Bridal Chic. Take a look this gorgeous pair are childhood sweethearts who created a wedding full of pretty details. This wedding venue shows what you can achieve with a bit of patience and creativity, with DIY touches that really work the couples style. So without further ado let us introduce you to……..Mr and Mrs Manchester (yep thats right, I love it that much it deserves a bold font!!!) in what is one of the most dreamiest images ever.

The venue was built in 1755 and originally named “The Fields” Ashfield House has worked its way through the centuries lending itself now, into this beautiful wedding venue. As soon as Danny and Emma saw this place they fell in love with it. ” It truly feels like home. It was the only venue we visited because as soon as we arrived we knew it was the one, it’s real a hidden gem!”

The Bride wore…. Pronovias – Diango
I think you agree that Emma looked stunning and those shoes are what brides dreams are made of… #heaven
The shoes were Badgley Mischka. “I had my eye on these shoes from the moment I saw them on Pinterest, I got them shipped over from America because I couldn’t find anything else I loved as much!” That’s a sex in the city moment right there! “I took me forever to decide whether to have my hair up or down but as soon as I saw this headband I could picture my up-do, headband and veil.” In keeping with the cool and contemporary styling of the day Danny’s suit was from Slaters – OneSix5ive.

The Details: Emma spent every waking moment on Pinterest planning their wedding. “I’m not really into colour schemes or anything bold like that so I decided to go for a lot of subtle, neutral tones and focused on incorporating flowers as the main focus. I did a lot of DIY bits which everyone commented on and said it made the whole extra special. My favourites were the hand painted sign and our ‘shabby chic’ ladder.” The cake was handmade by Danny’s mum. There were 4 tiers made of fruit cake, chocolate fudge cake, vanilla sponge and Victoria sponge with jam and cream decorated with buttercream icing and sugar icing roses.” It was amazing!”

Asking Emma what her best moment was she told us “All of it! Can I say that!? If I had to pick one stand out moment it would be walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing Danny for the first time, I will never ever forget that.”

The Photographer was Tim Emmerton. “As soon as we stumbled across Tim’s photos we knew we wanted him to capture our special day. When we received our photos the day after we came back from our honeymoon we were blown away! We just adore every single one.”

We partied…..”All night!! Our band The Deltatones (who were incredible!) got an encore as all our guests chanted ‘one more song!’ over and over. Love was truly in the air! We totally had the limelight stolen from us as our 6 year old ‘mini’ groomsman and 2 year old flower girl fell in love and spent all day holding hands! They looked like a mini bride & groom, it was incredibly cute!”

That just leaves us to say thank you to Emma and Danny who have kindly provided us with the images from there beautiful wedding day and if you want to follow Emma’s journey visit her Instagram or website page Life Through Em’s Eyes.

I found this top tip from the site whilst having a nosy…

“My advice would be do a little but do it often. I planned and organised nearly every night but only an hour or two at a time. This way as the run up to the wedding got closer and closer I wasn’t stressed and I felt like I only had to dot the i’s and cross the t’s so to speak.”

Much Love,
